Clara Nguyen-Tran

Clara Nguyen-Tran is an active and versatile performer of solo, chamber and orchestral music. As a member of the Aeris String Quartet, she won first place in the University of Toronto’s Galimir and Haydn chamber competitions.
Clara has several notable performances as both a soloist and a chamber musician. She has been mentored by Atar Arad, Hsin-Yun Huang, Roger Tapping, and the Juilliard, Prazak, St. Lawrence, and Jupiter string quartets, among many others. She has also worked closely with members of the Gryphon Trio, Brooklyn Rider, New Orford, and Ariana quartets through various music festivals.
As an orchestral musician, Clara regularly performs with many orchestras in Ontario including the Canadian Opera Company, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Esprit Orchestra, and Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.
Clara completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Eric Nowlin and Teng Li. She also holds an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School where she studied with Steven Dann.
